My body is a continent
Line of Events
After living life on the fringes in London, Rona tries to come to terms with her troubled past. Hoping to heal, she returns to the wild beauty of the Orkney Islands in Scotland, where she grew up.. It is the first time a film has been shot on the Orkney island of Papa Westray.. Rona: In grand moments, at the top of fresh air and freedom on the hill, I study my personal geology. I grind my teeth in my sleep like tectonic plates.
Lightning strikes every time I sneeze
And when I blink, the Sun flickers. My breath pushes the clouds across the sky and the waves roll to the shore in time with my beating heart. The heads of the islands rise above the sea like my limbs in the bathtub. My freckles are famous landmarks and my tears are rivers. And when I orgasm, there’s an earthquake..
Conceptual; It runs deep
One With the Wind, composed by John Gürtler and Jan Miserre. The film does something that not many films do; isolate and create a metaphor in the setting. The personalities of the actors/actresses are flawless; that is, gaining character and momentum as the film moved along. You know it or not… the plot backfired as soon as it was set in motion.
Rona was watching
She was chasing a life that was hers. The gray rain lining and clear raindrops only saddened the scene; cars and planes included. It was the biggest blessing for the protagonist. Gloomy, desolate visions and thoughts of " bird calls. " The excitement was there.
Each turn had a sequence
Remembering vivid moments of techno, she hugged herself. She learned to cope and not cope with withdrawals, apparently and willingly. The acting and portrayals were perfect. Regardless, the film excels at finding isolation and getting the best of it; mocking and joking or serious and real.
