The only location unavailable was Winfield House, the actual residence of the American ambassador
Line of Events
In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, is given a high-profile job she is ill-suited for, with tectonic implications for her marriage and political future. The producers convinced both the American & British governments to allow them to use real-life locations as filming locations for the series, including the still-newly opened American Embassy (at Nine Elms) in 2018. Britain allowed filming inside the Foreign Secretary’s office, a rare honor for any film or film production, especially an American one.
Presented at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards (2024)
Although accurately described as occupying the largest plot of residential land (11 acres) in London outside of Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming purposes. I watched The Night Agent, I thought it couldn’t get much better than this, I was wrong. I loved every second of this series.
So cerebral and fascinating
Everything you could want in a show. The characters and acting were top notch. It was great to see the wonderful Rufus Sewell again and what a role he played, never knowing what he was going to come up with next.
Played to perfection
Keri Russell was simply magnificent as the ambassador. I loved David Gyasi too. All in all a wonderful show, maybe a little short, but worth watching.
The best political show since The West Wing
excellent!
