Set in the Utopia of Piltover and the oppressed underworld of Zaun, the story follows the origins of two iconic League of Legends champions and the power that will tear them apart. Meet the actors behind some of your favorite animated films and series, including Ella Purnell in “Arcane.” Fortiche Productions made a music video called “Get Jinxed” for Riot in 2013, featuring Jinx and the city of Piltover. Riot was so impressed with the work that they asked Fortiche to make an animated series, which took several years to create. After the release of the first season, Riot announced that there would be a second season and that it would take less time to produce. Performed by Imagine Dragons ft J.I.D.. Here comes the new us. League of Legends’ (LoL) first project to expand its own cinematic universe is complete. The story between sisters, rich and poor, loyalty and betrayal, peace and war, and everything in between. There’s a common saying that LoL’s big budget was spent on animation instead of ‘balancing champions in the game, and that couldn’t be more true.
The fight scenes were impactful and breathtaking
I didn’t expect this level of masterful animation. After each episode, they found new ways to impress the audience with incredible visuals and transitions. Even though the series wasn’t entirely consistent with the original story, it was still an intense story that created an interesting universe. I’m not going to lie, the first act didn’t really impress me, but the next episode 4 completely hooked me. My only problem with the story is that I just couldn’t get enough of it.
Some still surprised me by the end
I wanted more and I didn’t like waiting. The characters were just as cool as the animation. Many of the character dynamics fascinated me and made me realize how much I needed them. I admit that some characters were simple, but not all were predictable. The character walkthroughs for all the characters were amazing.
Overall, while the game was a love-hate relationship, Arcane was definitely all love and a phenomenal step in establishing LOLCU
